Stevedore

Founded in 1997 by Frédéric BARRA, SOGENA, BALGUERIE, SAGA and Nord Céréales, BARRA SNM takes over from SNC Veuve Paul BARRA & fils, whose know-how was established in the port of Dunkirk from the beginning of the 20th century. .

Port handler for all types of goods (bulk, wheels, heavy packages, containers, etc.), the company operates on 3 sites:

1. At the eastern port, the company specializes in the unloading of imported copper and handles regular lines in conventional, as well as tramping vessels. The site is also suitable for handling heavy packages.
   
   
2. At the Central port, BARRA SNM operates on the Nord Céréales site (import, unloading of trains and barges, export). The company also carries out stevedoring for DMT specializing in small industrial bulk. Its STE subsidiary, Quai de l’Escaut, manages the import / export terminal for steel products.
   
   
3. At the West port, the company operates through another subsidiary, SSTD, on the Transmanche ro-ro terminal. Its main client is DFDS. It is also present near the container terminal with a loading/unloading center.
